Therapy Is

An Investment

We are an out-of-network provider. At Therapy In The Bay we believe therapy is for everyone and you don’t need a label or diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy for reasons other than mental illness. Keep in mind, insurance companies require justification for treatment (I.e. a diagnosis) and they control the frequency and length of your sessions.

We don’t want to turn anyone away from receiving therapy so we do offer a sliding scale rate on a short-term basis based on evidence of need and availability. A sliding scale is any amount below the therapist’s full fee. We hold a specific amount of slots for lower-fee clients. Please inquire about availability and to discuss your current situation to determine how we can assist you.
